In Memoriam

Zephyr McDole:
Born in 1993, a Domestic Short Hair cat.
A sweetie who was almost named Yoda when she was a kitten because she looked so wise and ugly.
A whole lot less trouble than her sister was!

Nicholas (Nicky) McDole:
Born in 1997, Domestic Short Hair cat.
His sister was killed by a coyote August 2003.
We still miss her.
Nicky has finally stopped missing going outside,
and has adjusted to the much safer life of an indoor-only cat.

Boris Young

Boris

Boris and I had the chance to spend a lot of time
together through the years, and we became very good friends indeed.
He was always a sweet, cooperative, and forgiving patient.
He was also very friendly, and would sit on my lap and purr,
even when he knew I was about to give him his fluids.

Boris loved to spend time playing and sunning in his yard,
but he loved his people even more.
He enjoyed visiting with his guests when they came over for parties,
and he truly thought his "mom" and "dad" were
something special!

I'm going to miss my regular visits with this sweetie.
His folks have 20 years' worth of wonderful memories with Boris,
and I hope that helps to bring them comfort now.

Sammy McCann

"Sammy, one eye open"

Sammy loved his "mom" and would follow her around so he could be with her.
Kris McCann writes, "My rabbit Sammy died Sunday October 18th.
He was 5 and a half years old. He is my third rabbit.
He was quite the character. He was more dog like.
He wanted a lot of attention, was always happy to see me, wanted to be
petted by anyone and had no fear. His one undog-like characteristic was that
he wasn't afraid of the vacuum cleaner. He even came out from under the bed
when I would turn it on, to do 'battle' with the vacuum cleaner.
The other interesting thing about him, was all the noises he made.
He would snort like a pig when he was getting petted.
Even though he was very messy and noisy, I really miss and still love him."

"Touring"

George was a very special bunny.

She was a fiesty, tiny little thing when she went to her new home,
but she quickly became very attached to her new human mom.
She even let her mom trim out all the nasty matts in her fur that she had arrived with.
As her mom said, she became a "loving, trusting sweetie."

Dr. McDole admired George's combination of spunk and love.
George was always a good patient, even if she sometimes didn't behave at home.
(A certain bunny would escape from her room and go looking for her mommy.)

She is truly missed.
